Sunday School

Sunday school runs on the first three Sundays of every month.

During the 9.30am communion service children aged 3-11 years old leave and go into the church hall or the vestry.

Each week the children take part in a range of activities crafts and games aimed at helping them to understand and learn about Gods love for them all.

Activities and stories are usually based on the readings being heard in church by the congregation that morning at the communion service.

Children return into the church for the last part of the service.

Social Activities

A number of community groups meet regularly in St Cuthbert’s Community Hall which is adjacent to the main church building. These include an art club, line dancing club, a group providing care services to the community and a slimming club.

The hall is centrally located within the town, situated a short distance from Peterlee Bus station and can accommodate up to eighty five people seated and one hundred and ten standing.

It has recently undergone a programme of refurbishment, including re-roofing, restocking and upgrading of the adjacent kitchen facilities.

The hall can also be hired for special occasions such as wedding receptions, baptisms or other such family events.
